The science of addiction

In the first section, it talked about the existing reward pathways which release dopamine in the brain when something pleasurable happens to your body. When you smell something good and have not eaten, you are driven to eat. The reward pathways are also drivers to make you do things.

In the second section, it talked about the different kinds of addicting drugs, their affects on the human body, and how they can kill you. The site also had a place where you looked at mouse brains after the affects of the addicting drugs. It also talks about how drugs are addicting adn why they are and the least potent ways to take drugs.

  1. I liked your post because it was short, sweet, and straight to the point! I liked how you only included some of the climaxes of the section, so there was no useless information that was added. I would have liked to see a few examples of what was shown in the section, but otherwise really good job!

  2. I thought you did a good job on this because it's so short, but it summarizes both sections very well, and you didn't go too in-depth. However, you may want to include information that you found in the mouse thing, or even the different drugs that were included. (:

  3. I like how you compared the reward pathways to drivers. You kept it concise, and included good facts. Maybe you should try to explain what you discovered during the mouse thing..rather than just saying it was there. Otherwise, good job!

  4. This post was nice because it had a lot of information in a short post. It would have been better if you expanded on some of the information covered and not just the thins that had more information in it. Like, when you said it talked about why drugs are addicting, why are drugs addicting? Overall, great job!

  5. I appreciated the brevity of your information, but maybe you could go into depth a little more? Somebody who hasn't read through the genetics website might have trouble making out the information, but you did a nice job summarizing altogether.
